East Coast Laser Engraving Designs, nestled in the Alafaya area of warmth and sunshine, we create handmade goods using our team's meticulous craftsmanship and our laser engraver to incorporate intricate designs into wood and metal. Our laser machine, a marvel of modern technology, is humming with a quiet intensity as its laser beam is focused, dancing across the surface of each piece we make, etching delicate patterns that engrave our artwork as it comes alive with light and shadow.
Chuck German had always been drawn to woodworking and art, but it was John M. Brown, his great-great-grandfather, a skilled woodworker back in the 1800's, who first sparked Chuck's fascination with wood as a child. Chuck would spend hours learning woodworking at home, making things from wood. As a child, Chuck would hand-saw wood and nail pieces of wood together, making projects, and he gained more confidence.
Chuck's first class in woodworking started in 6th grade in 1965. Paying close attention to the wood shop teacher, Mr. Moses, Chuck's hands moved with grace as he learned woodworking skills. Chuck has become a seasoned artist after 60 years, and has since gone on to own his own business.
Chuck dreamed of having a Laser Engraver some day in his business that would open the doors to more work alongside his professional woodworking skills. When he discovered laser engraving, it felt like a natural evolution of his grandfather's woodworking skills, allowing Chuck to express his creativity with unparalleled precision.
News of Chuck's unique creations spread throughout the community after moving from Michigan to Florida. Chuck has attracted new customers who sought personalized gifts, from engraved wedding album covers to custom-made wood products. Chuck's passion for his craft shone through in every piece he creates, as he used the laser not just as a tool but as a medium to tell stories, capture moments, and connect with people on a deep personal level.
With each laser-engraved creation, Chuck continued to push the boundaries of his art, exploring new materials, experimenting with innovative designs, and proving that the possibilities of laser engraving were as limitless as his imagination. Chuck's small business in Alafaya, FL, became his new home, a haven for those seeking a piece of his art with a unique story, etched forever into the heart of the wood.
